Glance is now in Raleigh but ...

started in the beautiful mountains of Boone, NC in an old apartment with no AC and a stale beer aroma.

We got started by winning some prize money at App State Big Pitch, Charlotte Venture Challenge, and Raleigh Innovator’s Program by Citrix and Red Hat and waking up at 5am on Saturday mornings to flip things on eBay we bought for cheap at yard sales to pay the rent.

For 18 months we built state of the art recruiting software products. The problem was nobody wanted to buy them. It wasn’t that they weren’t good, it was that people resisted learning a new UI (user interface). We even had trouble giving them away! They just wanted their problems solved. 

So we combined all of our products and knowledge of tech, marketing, and recruiting to evolve Glance. And what we learned is people find it way more valuable if you just do the work for them. So that’s what we do.

We’ve never been good at following the rules. But that is a good thing when you start a company and rewrite the rules. We don’t actually even love recruiting but we love solving problems using new technology. Recruiting is stale and old. So we’re rewriting the rules.

When you use and create the best tools you have an unfair advantage. And that’s what we think great companies are derived from.
